Mailings :: Creating and Sending a Mailing

To create a new mailing, begin by navigating to the Mailings tab. From here select the New > Create a Mailing. From here you will be presented with a selection of templates or an option to create a mailing from scratch. If you are looking for a template you have created or one you have previously saved it will be available in the My Templates section to the left. If you are looking for one of our more advanced options also on the left is Other options. Here are the other options that are available:

We recommend if you're not experienced with HTML to select a template or the create from scratch option. For those who are more fluent in HTML the options Use Advanced Editor or Use Markup Editor may be more suitable. The From Template option is for people who have some HTML knowledge but do not want to start from scratch. This option allows you to access our library of premade templates or use a template you have imported to our system. The other options, From A Webpage, From An Email, and Upload A File are best used for importing existing HTML into the system.

Once you finish creating your mailing you will select next and then to the Details tab will be where you enter the subject and email address information. As displayed below with directions to follow. 

All options in this section are required.

  • Save As: The mailing name, this will be visible in the list of Mailings in your account. (Requited)
  • Folder: Select the folder the mailing belongs to or leave empty. (Optional)
  • Subject: Mailing subject. (Required)
  • From Name: The friendly alias of your e-mail address, i.e. 'Customer Service', 'Newsletters'. (Optional)
  • From Email Address: The address responsible for the mailing. (Required)
  • Reply-To Email Address: The address to which responses should be directed. (Optional
  • CAN-SPAM Footer Address: Select from different compliance addresses if you're managing multiple brands in your account.

From this example above is using the Message Builder. 

After clicking NEXT, you'll be directed to the Link Tracking page. From here you can select Next and you will be presented with the following options: 

 

Send a test mailing allows you to send to either a test list or up to 5 testing email addresses. 

Get a shareable link allows you to get a link that you can send to another person for review. 

Save as a Template then puts your mailing into the My Templates section of you create a new mailing. 

Schedule and Send allows you to finish scheduling this mailing. 

If you select Schedule and Send you will be directed here: 

 

On this screen, you will be able to configure how your campaign will be sent. You will select the Lists, date and time and any suppressions, tags or automations needed to make your campaign work for you. Once you make these selections you will select continue. 

You'll be presented with one final screen that includes details on the targeted recipient lists and a preview of the mailing. Click Confirm&Schedule to add the mailing to the delivery queue. (If you have selected immediately as your send time and you make the Confirm&Schedule selection you cannot terminate this campaign. It will already be sending)
